Then his eyes shut, and the pleas stopped. George Floyd was pronounced dead shortly after.

On May 25, 2020, 46-year-old George Floyd, unarmed, was murdered by Derek Chauvin, J. Alexander Kueng, Thomas Lane and Tou Thao—four Minneapolis, Minnesota cops.
