Dear Socialist Viewpoint,

Lobbying for abortion rights has been proven an utter failure. Nine geriatric, addled, Supreme Court Justices have open the floodgates to overturn Roe v. Wade. Texas will not be the exception in this fanatic repression of women’s reproductive rights. They will set the bar for other states to follow suit. It will have to be a gloves-off contest of force which means that women will have to mobilize and declare forever that reproductive freedom is their right not to be interfered with by the U.S. Government. It will take mass mobilizations and an unfriendly confrontation with the religious and philosopher nuts and fascist men who want to keep women a subservient gender. The U.S. isn’t about sanctity of life. To its degenerated core, the United States is about militarism and profits.

Dear Socialist Viewpoint,

The Texas anti-abortion law encouraging citizens to become vigilantes (for money) is a new version of the laws advocated by the old slave states creating vigilantes (for money) to capture escaped slaves. Thus, Texas reveals a major effect of this law: By denying women control of their own bodies, the law degrades women to a status formerly designated for slaves.
